Allied Irish Bank (GB) is a business bank offering a full range of products and service for mid corporate business and professional customers.

Voted "Britain’s Best Business Bank" by the Forum of Private Business biennial Surveys since 1994, Allied Irish Bank(GB) have built a strong reputation for offering extremely high levels of customer service provided through their local branch network throughout the country.

The Recruitment Challenge

Initial meetings identified that Allied Irish Bank were looking for a provider to manage their Graduate recruitment for 2005. They needed high calibre graduates that were effectively pre screened, with a short list provided for interview and testing.

Omni’s Approach

Omni targeted specific media channels to maximise the exposure of Allied Irish Bank (GB)’s Graduate vacancies and to ensure we reach to a wide audience. This resulted in a much larger than normal response and with Omni’s short listing process ensured a successful graduate recruitment campaign. Allied Irish Bank (GB) removed many time consuming processes enabling them to focus on final assessment days.

The success of the Graduate recruitment campaign led AIB to the review of recruitment elsewhere in the business. The recruitment team had reduced in size and they did not feel they were effectively managing third party suppliers and direct recruitment channels. Omni proposed a service to support the recruitment team, improve direct recruitment channels and develop stronger and better supplier relationships.

The Solution

In conjunction with Allied Irish Bank (GB), Omni assessed and rationalised the large number of preferred suppliers and those we committed to working with were focused on delivering to their strengths. Omni also developed and manage a new careers microsite to ensure all roles posted online were up to date and candidates could apply for specific roles that matched their skills.

As an extension to the recruitment team Omni have spent time analysing the best methods of finding the right candidates for a variety of roles at different levels in the business. Effective candidates generation and a highly effective pre screening process, set up in conjunction with Allied Irish Bank (GB), enables us to ensure only high calibre candidates are submitted for interview.
