"Outplacement Plus" - Omni’s Retained Staff Motivation & Outplacement Service
“Outplacement Plus” - Omni’s Retained Staff Motivation and Outplacement service helps organisations dramatically reduce the negative effect that redundancies can have on the organisation. We work with both the displaced workers (those that have been made redundant or had their contract of employment terminated prematurely) and with the remaining staff to ensure productivity and morale are not affected by the downsizing.
Omni’s programme is specifically appropriate for redundancy programmes where it is a priority to maintain business performance through the continued motivation, loyalty and morale of existing staff.
All programmes are designed specifically to meet the level and requirements of the organisation. However, Omni’s “Outplacement Plus” programme typically contains three elements:
1. “Outplacement Plus” Workshops
Omni’s workshops for displaced workers are a combination of both practical advice and motivational exercises. Practical activities contain all/any of the following activities:
- Career mapping: assessing skills and possible changes in career direction
- Psychometric Testing: if appropriate
- CV writing master class
- How and where to look for jobs
- Guide to successful networking
- Application forms and cover letters
- Introduction to job boards, head hunters and/or recruitment agencies
- Panic free competency based interview training
- Managing finances
- Retirement
- Further education
- Starting your own business
2. “Outplacement Plus” Outplacement Aftercare
Omni’s three month after care service gives every displaced worker ongoing practical and emotional support as they start looking for a new career/job, apply for jobs and prepare for interviews.
3. “Outplacement Plus” Group Sessions And Support For Existing Staff
Omni’s professionally facilitated motivational meetings for remaining members of staff ensure that the outcome of the redundancies has a positive effect on the business and not a negative one.
The sessions can be general and non-specific, or focus on particular business outcomes and projects.
Omni’s “Outplacement Plus” Consultants
Motivational and outplacement service providers are not regulated by any professional organisation. However, Omni’s “Outplacement Plus” consultants meet all the CIPD’s ‘Fitness to Practice’ criteria, are trained counsellors and also qualified to administer BPS accredited psychometric tests.
