Bank of Ireland is a leading financial services organization and the largest lender into the Irish economy, operating across Ireland, the UK, Germany and the US. Omni has been a key resourcing partner to the Bank since our inception more than 20 years ago, managing its IT contractor workforce in the UK.
Aims & Objectives
Having previously relied on recruitment agencies to source all contractors, Bank of Ireland approached Omni looking for a single supplier that was able to manage its contractor and interim resourcing requirements for its UK head office. They wanted an effective end-to-end solution that would bring in time and cost efficiencies and reduce the administrative burden of managing multiple agencies from their hiring managers, so they could focus on running their IT function.
What we do
Omni supports the Bank with an end-to-end solution from candidate sourcing through to onboarding and ongoing contractor care, managing over 600 contractors to date.
We boast a direct sourcing rate of 100% across all roles including Test Analysts, Project Managers, Development and Architecture roles as well as Business Intelligence, support and senior roles. Omni’s expertise in directly sourcing candidates has enables the Bank to achieve significant cost savings year-on-year compared to the agency introduction fees they would have been charged previously.
Consistent Processes and Candidate Management
Through the implementation of Omni’s recruitment workflow and applicant tracking system ‘Appellia’, which underpins the process from vacancy approval to invoicing, the contractor resourcing process has been streamlined and standardised, removing the time and administrative burden away from hiring managers who simply request a new vacancy at the click of a button. All candidates are managed consistently and hiring managers have just one single point of contact for each of their vacancies.
Control and Visibility of Contractor Resourcing
By providing a single centralised system for vacancy approval and extension management, as well as time sheeting and self-billing, Appellia pulls all data together providing the Bank with greater insight and control of the entire process, enabling them to better control costs and plan future requirements. With a talent pipeline continuously being developed by Omni, roles can be filled extremely quickly.
Contractors are fully supported by Omni’s contractor care team that manages all contractor queries relating to payroll, timesheets and contracts, with regular contractor ‘surgeries’ held on site to provide ongoing visible support. We also ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and employment legislation, and manage screening & vetting for every contractor, giving Bank of Ireland complete peace of mind.
