We’re thrilled to announce that Richard Bradley has joined Omni as a Commercial Director, bringing with him two decades of experience at the forefront of talent acquisition, RPO, MSP and workforce transformation.
Richard’s appointment is an important milestone for Omni as we continue to evolve our offering, deepen client partnerships and support organisations navigating increasingly complex talent challenges. With a career dedicated entirely to talent solutions (and a reputation for challenging the status quo) Richard brings both strategic depth and infectious energy to the role.
Richard’s journey into talent solutions began in traditional recruitment agency style, where he built a strong foundation in candidate attraction and client relationships. But it was his move into RPO and workforce transformation in 2008 that truly shaped his career.
“I made a pivotal move into the RPO and workforce transformation space, where I spent nearly 20 years with two of the industry’s leading global providers, AMS and KellyOCG,” Richard said. “Those years were invaluable for understanding how enterprise hiring really works at scale; the complexities, the challenges and the strategic importance of getting it right across multiple geographies.”
Over time, however, Richard noticed a recurring problem: mid-sized and scaling businesses were facing enterprise-level talent challenges without enterprise-level resources.
“That’s what really motivated me,” he says. “These organisations are trying to solve the same problems as global enterprises, but without the same infrastructure, budget or internal capability. I’ve spent much of my career building solutions that bring enterprise-level thinking, but in a way that’s right-sized for their reality.”
That passion has even led Richard to author a forthcoming book, Talent Attraction for Scaling Businesses, due to be published by Springer Nature later this year. This book is a reflection of his commitment to helping organisations build TA strategies that scale with ambition, and we’re delighted to have him at Omni.
For Richard, joining Omni was not just a career move, it was a values-driven decision.
“Omni is genuinely a hidden gem in our industry,” he says. “I talk a lot about trust being the new product in talent solutions, and I’ve never seen client loyalty and advocacy at the level Omni has achieved. In two decades, that really stood out to me.”
Introduced to Omni through a longstanding professional relationship with Managing Director Louise Shaw, Richard was drawn to the organisation’s delivery ethic, customer-first mindset and appetite to evolve.
“What excites me is the leadership team’s desire to grow and adapt,” he explains. “They understand that strong delivery alone isn’t enough anymore. Omni’s approach to technology and AI is progressive, but not gimmicky. It’s considered, practical and rooted in real value.”
Richard joins Omni at a pivotal moment for the talent solutions industry — and he’s clear-eyed about what’s changing.
“AI is obviously the biggest trend everyone’s talking about,” he says, “but most organisations aren’t thinking big enough. They’re automating old processes instead of reimagining what talent solutions could be.”
Rather than replacing recruiters, Richard believes AI will fundamentally change their role.
“We’re moving from ‘recruiter’ to ‘talent strategist’. AI can handle a lot of the heavy lifting, but human judgement becomes even more critical, particularly around trust, context and decision-making.”
Trust, in fact, is a recurring theme in Richard’s thinking.
“Trust really is the new product in our industry,” he says. “But there’s a paradox. Organisations need AI to stay competitive, yet candidates don’t fully trust it. That means transparency, fairness and keeping humans in the loop are absolutely essential.”
Beyond AI, Richard points to several other shifts reshaping the market: the move from credentials to skills, the growing importance of data literacy in TA and the rising expectations of RPO partners.
“Organisations don’t want transactional providers anymore,” he says. “They want partners who bring insight, advisory capability and real solutions not just people filling roles.”
Richard has seen first-hand how expectations of talent solutions partners have changed.
“A few years ago, the conversation was ‘Can you fill these roles?’ Now it’s ‘We don’t even know whether to hire, build, buy or automate capability. Can you help us work this through?’”
Flexibility has also become non-negotiable.
“Mid-sized organisations don’t want rigid, one-size-fits-all contracts,” Richard explains. “They want modular, flexible support that adapts as their needs change, and that’s exactly where Omni excels.”
As Commercial Director, Richard’s vision for success goes far beyond growth metrics alone.
“Success isn’t just about revenue,” he says. “It’s about impact for Omni and for our clients.”
For Omni, that means not to compromise our trusted client relationships, expanding thoughtfully beyond the UK and continuing to evolve a progressive but responsible approach to technology and AI.
“I want Omni to be known as the partner of choice for ambitious, scaling organisations,” Richard explains. “Not just a supplier, but as an extension of their team.”
For clients, success means better outcomes across the board: improved quality of hire, stronger pipelines, greater diversity, smarter use of data and more proactive workforce planning.
“I want to help clients move from reactive hiring to building talent strategies that genuinely support their business ambitions.”
Omni’s Managing Director, Louise Shaw, adds “Richard’s energy, clarity of thought and deep industry experience make him a powerful addition to Omni’s leadership team, and a strong signal of where ourbusiness is heading”.
“We have the opportunity to fundamentally reimagine how talent acquisition works,” Richard says. “To make it more strategic, more effective and more human. That’s what excites me and that’s why I’m so excited to be here.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Richard to Omni and look forward to the impact he’ll have as we take the business into its next phase of growth.
